A Great Start For the Casual History Reader

Let me start off by saying I didn't think I'd read a history book more readable than books written by Alison Weir. I was wrong, but this was also written by a journalism major as opposed to a historian, so that may have something to do with it.
I liked the chapters that explained the cultural reasons behind the events and that they were in a different font so it was easier to tell fact from culture.
All in all, it's a good start for someone who thinks history entails dry reading or someone who is casually interested in the Tudor dynasty. Either way, you won't be disappointed!
