I got about halfway through the book when I couldn't justify why I was reading it. I do believe in ghosts, but the oscillations between skepticism and superstition floored me. I could not get past the religious fervor. While I was reared as a Catholic, I do not like to remember the Catholic aspects of my teachings growing up and so have a hard time understanding Catholocism from my paradigm. I am not prejudiced against those who are, but it's just not for me, just like this book was not for me.
