SPOILER ALERT!

It Was Slow in Places, But it Got Really Interesting in the End

A Dance With Dragons (A Song of Ice and Fire, #5) - George R.R. Martin

I found it to drag in a few places, but overall it was a good story. I loved seeing some of the characters I missed in A Feast For Crows, but I also ran across characters who I felt no feelings for.

I would have liked to have seen more about Cersei in the final bit of the book because I would have liked to have seen more horrible things happen to her. I was surprised about Varys being connected to Aegon; that utterly shocked me! Cersei's new knight intrigues me, but I have a feeling they reanimated The Mountain's body, so I'm pretty sure I know how that's going to work out.

I look forward to the next book in the series; with Barristan (who is slowly becoming one of my favorite characters), Tyrion, Arya, and Sansa being featured, it's sure to be filled with all kinds of great plot. Those are among my favorite characters, and I look forward to reading more about them; add Daenerys to that lineup and I will be ecstatic and unable to wait for the next book.
