Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West - Gregory Maguire Not a great work, but still good enough that I could get through it.I liked the remarks on religion and how they reflected on our society at this point in time. It illustrated how religion can be corruptable in the wrong hands as well as how atheism can sometimes be taken in too extreme a fashion.I wasn't so fond of some of the added characters, however. Doctor Dillamond was great, but some of the characters were a bit too whiny for my tastes. On the other hand, I was quite fond of Elphaba, and believe that some humanity was brought to Baum's soulless villain.
